I too was misled by the fake ratings into watching this utterly boring low-budget movie. The acting (except Alex Hassell, he is okay) is simply atrocious (especially the ``crazy lady``, she is laughable); it`s even worse than some made-for-TV movies. The whole film feels and looks like a student project, the period clothing, the camera shots... The music is not bad that`s the only thing I will say. However it is not tense enough for the scenes that are supposed to be ``scary`` (note: there`s nothing scary about this movie, I would say the genre is Drama-Mystery and that`s it, definitely not ``Gothic Horror`` as advertised). The story is slow and uninteresting, even after an hour nothing was really happening that would make me want to keep watching. The plot is completely uninvolving. Three men are stuck on an island with a few weird people who seem to be hiding a secret. The ``big reveal`` ends up being predictable and overdone in countless films. Characters are boring and after a while I just didn`t care anymore. I think they tried to get that HP Lovecraft feeling, but completely missed. I love slow burners but this was a pain to watch. They filmed on a beautiful island but the guy handling the camera didn`t seem to know how to get a good shot (or maybe it`s the bad editing`s fault). All around it just feels like a cheap production with nothing to redeem it. There`s also an overuse of fog to hide the fact that they couldn`t afford special effects, and it just ends up looking like a Goosebumps episode from the 90`. You don`t need fog and smoke everytime you want to show a ghost on screen. I would definitely not recommend this. Don`t be misled by the high ratings bought by the production. I simply have no respect for producers buying votes. You can easily tell which reviews are fake. If you really want to watch it, go ahead, but bring a pillow just in case. I would give it a 1 to counter the fake ratings but the soundtrack was okay-ish so I`ll give it a 2. And kudos to whoever made the trailer, that was actually a pretty good (but misleading) trailer for a bad movie.

Solo: A Star Wars Story boasts one of the more inventive plots I`ve seen lately. They play with Han`s story and aren`t afraid to take it some unexpected directions (at least for those just familiar with the movies and haven`t researched to extended continuity of the franchise). One of the small problems I had with Solo was while the movie does have some intriguing ideas and exciting sequences, they reside in the middle of the movie. The bookends of this movie (beginning and end) are the weakest with all the best stuff in middle hour and a half. This isn`t a major flaw, but I had to be patient for it to get going and the finale felt a little rushed.
After the news of Alden Ehrenreich needing some extra help to get the character of Han Solo, I wasn`t sure he could capably perform in the lead. He caught me completely off guard, he was great as Han Solo. He`s not Harrison Ford (and no one could have matched him as Han), but he has the charisma, the toughness and the comic timing and I think he pulled it off. He bounces off Joonas Suotamo (who plays Chewbacca) well and I thought he also had good chemistry with Emilia Clarke who played his love interest Qi`ra. Clarke did well, her performance as Daenerys is still better but this was a step in the right direction. She`s had trouble getting off the ground when it comes to acting in movies and this will hopefully be that stepping stone for her. Donald Glover does a fine Lando impression, there was a lot of praise for his version of this character and I largely share those sentiments. Woody Harrelson is solid as Beckett, he`s appropriately slimy but he invites you in enough that you want to believe in him. Thandie Newton is good for the limited time we get to spend with her. I also liked Paul Bettany, but he was kneecapped by his character.
I would put this in the heist movie genre but there are a couple of big action set pieces. Despite the troubled production, they were actually pretty great. Between the fight on the train and the escape/heist from the spice mining planet are both excellent. I didn`t have a problem with the ending fight for the action choreography and even that bit had its moments. They pack the thrills and there were some unexpected outcomes for that little extra payoff. If anything, Solo proves you don`t have to have a lightsabre duel to keep audiences on the edge of their seat.
My problems with Solo: A Star Wars Story boil down to 2 things. The first is that Bettany`s character of Dryden Vos is a weak villain and although the ending boasts a couple of unique twists, its undercut by the lack of a real threat. Bettany`s a great actor and they gave him a decent backstory, but a surprise betrayal comes in the 3rd act and instead of getting 2 sinister threats, we end up with none. The second is that Solo feels somewhat clunky or as if the movie is being too obvious when it brings in iconic items for Han or connects to the larger Star Wars universe. Solo works best when it operates as its own story, the seams only start to show when you really examine how it fits in the original timeline or when characters from other movies cameo.
I expected very little from this movie. I already mentioned all the bad press the movie got and while I went into this movie open-minded, the negativity surrounding Solo did lower my expectations accordingly. While it`s far from perfect, I had a lot of fun with this movie. Between the taught pace, the solid acting from the cast and the infectiously happy vibe the movie boasts, I was swept up in it. It doesn`t nail every aspect, but it gets far more right than it doesn`t and I`m not going to drop it down to a 4 or a 5 because of some nitpicks. My actual rating for Solo: A Star Wars Story is somewhere between an 8-9/10 but I`ll go with an 8/10 to be safe.

The premise for Get Out is interesting and makes for an unusual horror. The premise, although good, deteriorates into clichés by the end, never fully fleshing out any of the characters and injecting humour where it doesn`t really fit. The opening credits (and song) are haunting and evocative but the film itself portrays the characters as one dimensional. All of the white characters are evil and all of the black characters are victim. As usual, in Americas depiction of race, there is no middle ground, only white and black; no biracial, no latino, no Native American, only one Asian character randomly thrown in.
Although the film itself was fine if not rewatchable, what disturbed me most was sitting in an audience of black movie goers who cheered the deaths of all white people and made horrible comments.
As a horror lover, I have never seen even the worst killer or on-screen murder cheered, and yet the audience lapped it up because white people were being killed (even if they were the villains). This unsettled me. I`m not American and so my countries issues with race are not on par with Americas. To see the audience react this way felt odd, as if I had been transported to America. I almost feel like the film set race relations back! Ultimately, an interesting horror but more of a `cheap shot` at evil ol` Whitey. The depths are never really explored.

Anyone who has seen this movie once n felt bored n overstuffed needs to watch it 2nd time. U gonna luv it, i tell u coz the first time it feels like listening to 5 hours long lecture of ur teacher at college covering upto 3 long chapters. As u watch it the 2nd time or the 3rd, u will be very familiar with the small characters n ur mind wont be diverted frm the emotions n action spectacles n most importantly the central story coz u will know how they r gonna wind up dead or disappear frm the movie. yeah too much muchness has cost this movie many negative reviews even frm diehard Nolan fans but i tell u when u watch it 2nd time, everything u dislike about this movie calling it boring will be substantially reduced. IT is the movie whre Nolan isnt only interested in character of Bruce/ Batman but also on other characters of Gotham like kids, prisoners, oppertunists, rich fortuners, dutiful cops, terrrorists, newcomers in Gotham n many many more. All these characters build up Gotham city i.e 12 million other people xcept Bruce Wayne. Nolan`s intention of picturizing all the lives of people residing in Gotham City in this huge canvass of epic movie comes with a little bit price like overlong, boring n maybe even bloated coz the uninteresting portions will occupy ur mind n may even sideline the interesting portions like actions or raw emotions coz u know the better parts are there in the movie but you cant remember where. But if u watch it 2nd time u already know there r this unteresting portions or characters n hence u can focus more on the interesting ones. This movie is epic, grandest n most spectacular movie of this summer but it is also something that tests your focus, attention and patience. If u succeed in your test, the outcome is the most rewarding one you have ever received with the grand climax n the perfect ending.
Even Bane made me emotional. I dont think he is wasted at all. Before his death, he surely has his moments. Marion Cotillard is even great too. Anne Hathaway is stunning as Selina Kyle. Though a cat burgler she has her emotional side. U can see her sad facial expression and even tears during some moments in her eyes. The best performance goes to Michael Caine. Though his role is short, he gives u the necessary emotion to carryout in the movie. Christian Bale is better than the last, looked to me on par with that of Batman begins as Bruce Wayne. Joseph Gordon Levitt is pretty good. He is the most optimistic character of the movie. Action scenes r stunning especially the football stadium one. The ending is brilliant though i dont think even now Batman really lives. I think Chris hasnt made it clear he lives or not. The ending doesnt give clear answer. Its just the indication that Christopher Nolan n Christian Bale will be no more in Batman franchise.
If u dont love this movie, then dont go to theatre to see movie again. IT just ask u for ur little patience(maybe more), focus n attention and as i said the reward will be truimph victory for you.
A piece of advice- i found staying at the front seat as possible than at the back more enjoyable in the theatre as it enriched my viewing experience n i also had more focus/ attention and hence it didnt felt boring at all the 2nd time i watched it like the 1st time. I also have heard from some of my freinds that if u watch it more, the more u will love it. Its like a feast that u cant eat n digest at once. U will need repeated visits to fully absorb and enjoy all the stuffs in the movie when everything makes perfect sense.
First of all: i usually don`t like to write review, since this movie really awful. I felt i need to do this, so you didn`t do the same mistake that i do. Don`t waste your time.
Second, i don`t understand the story. What kind of world it is. What faction is? So i just spend my precious 2 hours to watching something that i don`t understand nor the movie try to explain that
Third: story very very bad. At the ending, your friends successfully infiltrate the enemy headquarter without even noticed by your enemy. If it`s one or two friends, that`s okay. But this is the whole battalion. WUTTTTTTT??????!!!!!!

Home Alone 3 tells a whole different story then the original two. Instead of the McCallisters, we meet the Pruitt family and in particular the main character Alex. A computer chip worth ten million dollars is placed into a toy car by our four villains in an attempt to get through airport security. There is a mix up at the airport, and the toy car ends up in the possession of an older woman who gives it to little Alex as a gift. The four bad guys track the car to a neighbourhood in Chicago and break into a series of houses looking for the chip. Alex (who is HOME ALONE with chicken pox) see`s the crooks breaking into the houses an calls the cops, only to look like a prank caller each time. The villains looking for the chip eventually realize that little Alex has it and that`s when the fun begins - Home Alone style.
I actually enjoyed Home Alone 3 as a kid and as an adult now. No, it isn`t as good as the original films and no Alex Linz is not Macaulay Culkin. But this movie gets points for breaking off from the McCallister storyline. I mean how many times can that family forget the same kid? Young actor Alex Linz who plays Alex in Home Alone 3 does a great job taking on this big role, he manages to not put in an annoying performance like so many child actors can be do these kind of movies. The crooks include three men and one female, and I like that they added a woman into that villain role. They all are good actors and add plenty to this movie.
The best comedic moments come from the crooks, especially David Thornton as `Unger`. There are some ho-hum funny moments which fall flat such as the talking parrot and a few scenes with Alex`s older brother and sister who "torment" him. Another flaw was the actual "home alone" bit, and the fact that Alex isn`t really home alone as we`ve seen in the first two films. His mother leaves him for a couple of hours as he recuperates from Chicken Pox, hardly the same as Kevin McCallister went through. And I don`t like that it doesn`t take place ON Christmas. But those drawbacks don`t take away from the whole movie at all.
Home Alone 3 isn`t great, but it takes some risks by moving from the original plot and adds some smarts it with the computer chip story. These aren`t your simple criminals like the wet bandits were, they are after far more than some jewellery and expensive silverware. I recommend Home Alone 3 for sure!
